hatha yoga
Suitable for all levels. Classes are based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness, relaxation, and listening to the body. Postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility and balance in the body. Classes are focused on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Postures include: standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
HATHA FLOW
Suitable for all levels. Classes are based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness, relaxation, and listening to the body. Postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility and balance in the body. Classes are focused on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Postures include: standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers. A gentle class focusing on flowing from pose to pose and linking the movement with the breath.
Yin Yoga
Suitable for all levels. This class invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is slow, deep, quiet, still practice and breathing. This class is held on the floor allowing you to use as many props as needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. As the whole body rests and opens with long held poses, the body's natural ability to heal, release, rejuvenate, and repair are the center of focus.
Vinyasa flow
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Hatha or Hatha Flow. This class is aimed for those who has yoga experience and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand and explore their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and incorporate some arm balances, deeper backbends, and intermediate practices of pranayama.
Candle yoga
Suitable for all levels. This evening class infuses candlelit ambiance and music with a combination of Yin and Hatha Flow. A beautiful way to end the day and prepare for a peaceful night's sleep.
YOga therapy session
Suitable for all levels. Rather than focusing on yoga methods and practices, yoga therapy focus on needs of each individual. After an appropriate intake and assessment, specialized pranayama, asanas, exercises, and meditations will be implemented to help them manage and heal the symptoms and causes. Each therapy is the based on deeper awareness, individual alignment and needs, as well to help with their attitude associated to the health condition.
There is also an opportunity to develop your own unique practice for which you can take home with you that will continue to aid in your empowerment and self-practice. The therapies and goals are outlined and practiced together.
